San Francisco makes it onto most peoples list of favourite cities in the world. With it's bohemian lifestyle, liberal attitude, beaches, and iconic streets it's easy to see why. 

It's very easy to spend days here wondering over the bridge, around the bay and through the streets.

The Golden Gate Bridge is San Francisco's icon, and probably the most famous bridge in the world. The views of the bridge from the shore and of the city and bay from the bridge are spectacular, so make sure you explore both.

Alcatraz

Alcatraz

Alcatraz is the most famous prison in the world, and an iconic fixture in San Francisco Bay. I didn't get chance to go visit it unfortunately, as when I got to the city tours were sold out for days in advance. To avoid disappointment, book your tour before you get here.

Pier 39

Pier 39

Pier 39 is famous for one thing - Sea Lions. 100's of them sunbathe there everyday, completely oblivious to the crowds of tourists taking pictures of them all day.
