If you are driving from Vancouver into the Rockies (which I HIGHLY recommend you do at one point in your life, it's incredible!) you are more than likely to go past Revelstoke. It's the perfect place to stop for the night, in terms of distance and also beauty.

Revelstoke

Revelstoke is a small town set around beautiful mountains and lakes. You can rest here (there are plenty of perfect Bed and Breakfasts and hotels) and walk around the town to recharge and enjoy the scenery.
