Nice is one of the popular destinations in the South of France. This Mediterranean city offers a pebble beach, and a true sense of what the South of France is like.

Nice is a lovely city to walk around, even away from the beach front, with its cute streets and old buildings mixed with new buildings.

Nice is inexpensive to get to (even on BA), and easy to get around. Eating and drinking in Nice can be a little pricey, and I found booking a reasonably priced nice hotel to be a nightmare in the summer!

Another good thing about Nice is that along the coast line here you can visit St Tropez, Antibes, Cannes, Monaco - all beautiful places in the South of France / Monaco, and all worth visiting. There is a train line that runs right along the coast making visiting all these places nice and easy.
