Shanghai
Shanghai is the one city in China where East truly meets West. With it's high rise buildings and large commercial sector, Shanghai will feel like a Chinese New York to most visitors in no time at all.
The city itself is vibrant with lots of nightlife, great shopping and things to keep you busy during your stay.

Oriental Pearl Tower
The Oriental Pearl Tower is one of the highest towers in Shanghai. It offers a 360 view of the whole city, and is an iconic part of the Shanghai skyline.

At the top there is a walking area with a clear floor, allowing you to see straight down to the foot of the tower. Walking along this may seem simple enough, but it can be a test of nerves to someone with vertigo.
Zhujiajiao Ancient Town
Zhujiajiao Ancient Town
Dubbed "the Venice of China", this district of Shanghai is definitely worth a visit if you have time. It's a fairly long bus ride out of the city centre, but easy enough to get to.
Zhujiajiao Ancient Town
It may not be as pretty as the real Venice, but it certainly is a pretty and interesting place to walk around for a few hours.
