Singapore
For many Singapore is an airport hub - if you are a frequent traveller chances are you have had to layover here at some point during your travels. It's reputation as "just a hub" is not founded though at all. This sovereign city-state and island country in Southeast Asia has much to offer in terms of sights, culture and more.

Hotels will not often make it on to my site, but the Marina Bay Sands Hotel is one of those exceptions. It's on the bucket list for many travellers - for its infinity pool at the top of the hotel.

The reason Singapore makes it on to so many bucket lists is the infinity pool at the top of the Marina Sands Bay Hotel. It offers an amazing view of the city, and is a beautiful pool very high up.

Raffles Hotel
Raffles Hotel
Another hotel listed here, but then again the Raffles Hotel is another amazing hotel in Singapore. It's an old colonial hotel (from the time of the British Empire) so the building is very old and distinctive in a city full of modern architecture.

As well as being a beautiful building to walk around (and you don't have to be a guest to do so) the hotel is also home to the Raffles Hotel Long Bar - the birthplace of the Singapore Sling cocktail. Having a Singapore Sling in here, eating monkey nuts and throwing the shells on the floor is an absolute must if you are in Singapore.

Gardens By The Bay
Me at the Gardens By The Bay
Gardens By The Bay is 101 hectares of reclaimed land turned into a beautiful garden park. The night photos here are very famous on travel blogs, so if you get the time get your camera to night mode and get down to the gardens at night.
