Here you will find a section of the Great Wall which is far enough from Beijing so that you won't find that many tourists. This gives you panoramic views of the wall, making for some great pictures.

The wall here has been restored to its former glory, giving you an impression of what the wall would have looked like when first built.

The start of your journey to the Great Wall of China

The most common way to reach the top of the Great Wall of China here is by horseback. The cost isn't huge (around £6 / 60 Kuai with a bit of negotiation) and it's a fun and different way to reach the top. Also the path although well  defined is steep and overgrown, so the horse will help with this also.
