Lanzhou

Lanzhou is the largest city in the Gansu Provence (Northwest China), and also the provence's capital. The Yellow River runs through the city, and it is a good place to visit for a few days as you are travelling round China, especially if you want to see a Chinese city that has not been influenced by tourism.
